APPM achievements
1944 Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill was awarded with the Red
Banner of Narkombumprom for its excellent work during the war.
1946 According to the Decree of the All-Union Central Council of
Trade Unions and Ministry of Pulp & Paper industry, Arkhangelsk Pulp and
Paper Mill received the Red Banner of Narkombumprom in perpetual tenure for
its excellent work during World War II.
1972 Arkhangelsk P&PM was awarded with the VDNH (exhibitions of
achievements of national economy) diploma for development of the light
board production technology.
1981 According to the Decree of Presidium of the USSR Supreme
Soviet, Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill was awarded with the Order of Lenin
for its progress in increase of production and improvement of products
quality.
1998 A new management team starts working at the JSC "Arkhangelsk
Pulp & Paper Mill". As a result of two years of strategic reconstruction of
Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill, the production and financial situation at
the mill significantly improved:
- management structure was improved;
- swapping was eliminated;
- working efficiency grew;
- business solvency and liquidity increased;
- relations with debtors and creditors were optimized;
- debts connected with salary and taxes were paid off;
- pay rise was provided.
1998 At the presentation of the program " Partnership for the
sake of progress " in Rome the board production Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper
Mill, JSC was awarded with the "Gold Mercury" prize. The winner of this
prize was defined according to the whole series of various parameters:
dynamics of production growth, assortment range, sales volume, preservation
of jobs and ecological compatibility of production.
1999 The general assembly of the world Kraftliner Manufacturers
Institute chose Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, JSC, to be a
representative of Russia in this world industrial association. Arkhangelsk
Pulp and Paper Mill became the first and so far the only member of this
prestigious association from the Eastern Europe, its members are such
largest world producers of board as Assi Doman, Sumurfit - Stone Container,
Stora Enso, Sappi Limited.
2002 The fluting paper of Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill was
marked by the diploma as the winner of the exhibition and contest " The
best goods and services of the Arkhangelsk region- 2002"
Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill, JSC was awarded with the highest public
award of Russia - the Honorary mark of Peter the Great in the nomination "
For Significant Contribution into the Economical Development of Russian
Federation".
2003 Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill was named the laureate of the
National Award in business sphere " The Company of the Year 2003".
V. I Beloglazov, General Director of Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill was
given an independent award "Leader of the Russian Business in Timber
Industry - 2003": the diploma and a crystal slug. This prestigious award is
based on the industrial professionalism rating of the Russian top-managers.
Wood fiberboard of Arkhangelsk Pulp & paper Mill manufacture was awarded
with the diploma of the All-Russian "The 100 best goods of Russia - 2003"
in the nomination "Industrial goods for the Population".
The JSC "Arkhbum" (the exclusive distributor of Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper
Mill's production) was announced the winner of the "Leader -2003" contest,
nomination "Leader of the foreign economic activity of the timber complex
of the Russian Federation"
By the results of the contest held by the Russian Quality Organization
Arkhangelsk Pulp & Paper Mill was awarded with the diploma "Russian Leader
in Quality "
